Great Idea For Your Teacher Tackle Box! Mandy Blimpkin from West River, NJ, sent us this question: "I need some advice guys! Your worksheets and lessons are great and help me every day! Homework has become a huge problem in my class. It is either too easy or difficult for students because I have a wide range of ability levels. I also have five students with learning disabilities. The homework will take some kids 5 minutes and others 5 hours. It's that bad! What should I do? Give students varying levels of homework depending on their ability. If a student has a learning disability in math, completing 5 problems may take her/him as long as another student who has 25 problems. Explain to students that the idea behind homework is to practice and reinforce a skill and that how that objective is met will vary for each person. Not a full Math Worksheets Center member?
