Teachers: How Do You Review For Math?

1. Math Skills     |     2. Math Grade Levels     |     3. Math Helpers     |     4. Math Timesavers

Teachers: Need Some Help Wih Your Math Review?

A great review game is to draw two silly monster faces on the board. Divide the class in teams and have them take turns answering questions. Each time they answer correctly they can choose one part of the monster to erase. The first team to erase the whole drawing wins the game.

Cindy Lars sent us a great email this week. "I just wanted to thank you for all you guys do. I started to review for the year and your web site makes it so easy to prepare great lessons for my students. I wish I would have found you sooner."

Printable Math Worksheets and Quizzes to Speed Up Your Day!

1. Math Skills     |     2. Math Grade Levels     |     3. Math Helpers     |     4. Math Timesavers

Great Idea For Your Teacher Tackle Box!

Mandy Blimpkin from West River, NJ, sent us this question: "I need some advice guys! Your worksheets and lessons are great and help me every day! Homework has become a huge problem in my class. It is either too easy or difficult for students because I have a wide range of ability levels. I also have five students with learning disabilities. The homework will take some kids 5 minutes and others 5 hours. It's that bad! What should I do?

Give students varying levels of homework depending on their ability. If a student has a learning disability in math, completing 5 problems may take her/him as long as another student who has 25 problems. Explain to students that the idea behind homework is to practice and reinforce a skill and that how that objective is met will vary for each person.

Teachers: New Math Worksheets and Math Templates

1. Math Skills     |     2. Math Grade Levels     |     3. Math Helpers     |     4. Math Timesavers

The Math Review Ideas Keep Flowing

Sherry from Hazeltown, MO, sent us this idea: help students prepare for exams by having them stand in two lines facing each other. Give each line of students a separate list of questions and answers. The first line of students asks the person across from them a question and the person answers. If the answer is incorrect, the first student says the correct answer. Then they switch roles. When each pair is done, one row of students steps to the right and they ask their new partner the next question on their list. (Have the last student come to the front of the line.)
