Teaching Tip: Teacher Resources For Next Year

The 2012 school year will mark Teachnology's 14th year of providing teachers with classroom support and printable resources. As we start a new year we have focused on how to make educator's lives even easier. Here are five new resource areas we are very proud to have recently added:

1. Summer Reading Lists - We have an entire recommended book list for Kindergarten through High School.

2. Teachnology Facebook - Become a Facebook Fan of Teachnology. Every day we post riddles, class jokes, activity ideas, daily factoids, and current events helpers.

3. Math Worksheets - We have worked extremely hard this year to become the authority on math worksheets.

4. Web Quests - We have added 500 original web quests just this past month.

5. Lesson Plan Templates - In our lesson planning center, you will find endless templates to make your plans easier to manage.

Inspiring Teacher Quote

"In teaching you cannot see the fruit of a day's work. It is invisible and remains so, maybe for twenty years."

Jokes You Can Tell in Class

The test I gave my math class covered everything we'd studied all year -- fractions, percentages and portions of whole units.

But maybe I could have explained things better. To the question "What portion of a foot is six inches?"

One student answered, "The toes?"

You Have To See These Pictures...

We just wanted to share some fun pictures that teachers from all over the world have sent into us this year. It all started with a little Kenny (the son of one of our writers). You have to see little Kenny. He is just under a year old and spelling huge words already.

A few days later Diane from New Hampshire sent us a picture of what she found in the parking lot this week. A few weeks ago Mrs. Beemer's third grade send us another photo of fun this time in the sun. And then we found this on beach during Spring break.
