Teaching Tip: Save Those Cereal Boxes

Cereal boxes make great mailboxes that you can attach to a student's desk. Include the box on your list of supplies at the beginning of the year. Have students bring in plain wrapping paper and use it to cover their boxes. Cut the top flaps off the boxes and tape them to the students' desks. You can also have students color or decorate their cereal boxes based on their learning style. This is perfect for review. Each learning style can be given a separate review sheet geared to their strengths. Our learning styles inventory is a great tool for determining learning styles. The study skills teacher resource guide will provide you with a number of techniques, strategies, and resources.

Jokes You Can Tell in Class

This older man was on the operating table awaiting surgery and he insisted that his son, a renowned surgeon, perform the operation. As he was about to receive the anesthesia he asked to speak to his son.

"Yes Dad, what is it?"

"Don't be nervous, do your best and just remember, if it doesn't go well, if something happens to me, your mother is going to come and live with you and your wife."
