Teaching Tip: The Great Leprechaun Trap
By: Jill Myers - Reston, VA

Every year I create a take home project where I ask students to plan a trap to catch a leprechaun. It is great to set them loose and see what wonderful ideas they devise. I present the project in early March and incorporate it into each day's lesson. You can adapt it for just about any grade level. This project really helps reinforce the scientific method and classification skills.
