Teaching Tip: The Great Leprechaun Trap

By: Jill Myers - Reston, VA

Every year I create a take home project where I ask students to plan a trap to catch a leprechaun. It is great to set them loose and see what wonderful ideas they devise. I present the project in early March and incorporate it into each day´s lesson. You can adapt it for just about any grade level.

This Week in History

  • 1789: Pennsylvania ends its prohibition of theatrical performance.
  • 1867: U.S. Congress creates the Department of Education.
