Do You Go on Math Field Trips?
Janis Pittman from Valencia Junior High asked us this week if we could recommend a field trip for her math class. We discussed it and the best idea was the one Tina one of our authors had: make one of your field trips a meal at a local restaurant. Talk about manners, pricing, and tipping in the days leading up to the trip. See if you can get a menu ahead time and see if students can predict the cost of their meal. Students can enjoy a meal out, practice their manners and their math skills. Best of all; it is not cafeteria food! You should really consider becoming a full Math Worksheets Center member this week. It takes only a minute. We expect to have over 15,000 sheets soon. Just go here. We started to add new algebra, basic math skills, and fraction lesson sets. Look for a slew of new math worksheets, lessons, and helpers next week. |
