| Students and Homework? Math is one of those subjects where homework is a pinnacle of improvement. For years teachers and parents have been racking their brain trying to figure this one out. Here is a great idea Sheila, one of our writers, started using in her class last year. We all quickly adapted it to our classes when she saw her success. The first thing to do is take photos of the students. Now create a chart on your wall with the students' pictures on top. Then use them as responsible sticker charts. Give small stickers for participation, preparedness, class construction, behavior, homework completion. Then everyday when students come to class comes in make sure the charts with pictures are ordered by rank (most to least stickers). You can give a reward for the top 5 each week. This really motivates students. For some reason seeing their picture really helps it sink in. |
| Teachers: Need Math Teaching Resources?? We now feature a full K-12 math curriculum that include 2 lessons on every topic. Each lesson includes step-by-step explanations for students. To make a teachers' job easier we also include 2 practice worksheets, a homework sheet, and a quiz. Just click and print! Take a quick look, you won't regret it!: Home Page |
